Keeping Tummies Full Since 1989

Food insecurity is an unfortunately persistent problem in Canada, and truly, in much of the world. With over 4 million Canadians struggling to put enough food on the table, the need for support programs has never been greater. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this issue and caused many Canadians to seek out assistance for the food insecurity that they’re experiencing.

At the Wholesale Club, we’re eager to support families anyway that we can.

Feeding Hungry Minds

During the month of September, Loblaw Companies banners across Canada participated in our annual campaign to benefit the PC Children’s Charity, asking customers to donate what they can to help hungry children in their provinces have access to food and food education.

We’re so grateful for the generosity of our customers, and are proud to announce that this year, the Wholesale Club banner raised $82,528, benefiting children throughout the country.

Kids Should Go Far. Not Hungry.

As a branch of the Loblaw Group of Companies, we’re proud to help host the PC Children’s Charity and help in the fight against children’s hunger.

Founded in 1989, the PC Children’s Charity is an independent Canadian charity that feeds kids and teaches them to grow and cook their own food. After government, it is the largest charitable funder of school meal programs and has invested $200 million to nurture the well-being of nearly 6 million Canadian children to date.

The PC Children’s Charity reaches hungry children with food at school, after school, on the weekend, and throughout the summer. Since Loblaw Companies covers the cost of the administration of the charity, 100% of customer donations help kids.
