Butter Chicken Recipe from Student’s Dhaba
Ingredients
- 1lb Chicken White Meat
- 1lb Tomato Puree
- 500 mL 18% Cream
- Pinch or 1 tsp Kasuri Mehti (fenugreek leaves crushed)
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Tumeric
- 1 tbsp Paprika or Red Chilly Powder
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala or Seven Spice
- 2 tbsp Ginger Paste & Garlic Past Mix
- 1/3 tsp Orange Food Coloring
Directions
- Cut chicken in small cubes
- Mix with ginger garlic paste
- Add one cup water to chicken cubes and bring to a boil
- Add the food coloring
- Cook for 5 to 8 minutes in medium heat
- When chicken is half cooked, remove from stock and leave aside
- Take the stock and add tomato purée, seven spice/garam masala, paprika, salt & turmeric
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes in medium heat
- Keep stirring at 5-minute intervals
- When purée is dark and bubbling add cream and stir
- Mix and finally add the chicken cubes and cook for 5 to ten minutes
- When ready add Fenugreek leaves and cover
- After 3/4 minutes it is ready serve
