1. What is your earliest food memory?

My earliest food memory takes me back to my childhood when I would visit my dad working at his restaurant. I remember watching him cook and being immersed in the restaurant atmosphere.

 

2. Did anyone inspire you to become a chef?

I was inspired by my parents to cook and become a chef. Through their love of food and hospitality I gained insight and first hand experience of what it means to create delicious food.

 

3. What are your favourite ingredients to cook with? What are your favourite ingredients to pick up at Wholesale Club?

My favourite ingredients are the staples used in our restaurant: fresh, quality meats and produce and a variety of spices used to enhance our menu items. My favourite item to pick up at Wholesale Club is chicken wings.

 

4. What is the food like at your restaurant? How often do you change your menu?

The food at Legends Tavern is classic pub-style food. We specialize in homemade wings and burgers. Our main menu typically remains the same with our legendary items. However, we have seasonal menus that we change four times a year.

 

5. What tips would you have for someone who is inspired to open their own restaurant?

First and foremost, you must have a passion for it. Restaurant life can be very demanding yet very fulfilling. Always choose quality over price when it comes to selecting products to cook with and serve. Surround yourself with good people and work as a team; you are only as good as the team you have working with you.
